| The ESU regularly selects outstanding coaches
and speakers from across the world to other countries to support
the teaching and development of International ESUs and partner
organizations. |
| Delegation members are selected through
a competitive process to assess their skill in teaching public
speaking, debating and general communication skills. We give
priority to mentors who have been involved in ESU programs like
Discover Your Voice, or those who have given up their time to
judge our competitions and help at events. |
| Those selected to take part in delegations
support our overseas activities, work with school children,
university students, ESU members and professionals. Team members
also experience the life and culture of the country they visit
through cultural events hosted by the ESU in that country. There
is virtually no cost to those who take part as flights, accommodation
and travel are all covered by the ESU, or the host country. |
| As well as being a valuable addition to
your CV, the delegations are great fun and allow you to meet
some fascinating people. As we work with ESUs around the world,
team members get a chance to see places and meet people that
tourists would not, and are part of a unique, and often life
changing, experience. |
| Previous delegations have been undertaken to: |
| Hong Kong |
| Japan |
| Lebanon |
| Mexico |
| Argentina |
| India |
| Mongolia |
| Ghana |
| Israel |

| The ESU brings together and empowers people of
different languages and cultures. By building skills and confidence
in communication, we give people the opportunity to realize
their potential. Worldwide, the members and alumni of the ESU
support these objectives. |
| Our vision is to provide people in the UK and
internationally with communication skills, confidence and networking
opportunities. We endeavor to see that the value of good communication
as an essential attribute for individual, community and global
development and understanding is publicly recognized and widely
integrated into education and social policy. |
